IM-2

IM-2 is a lunar mission by Intuitive Machines under NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services program.

IM-2, launched on February 27, 2025, aims to land a drill and mass spectrometer near the Moon's south pole. This mission, part of NASA's CLPS program, will demonstrate in-situ resource utilization and analyze subsurface samples for volatile content. The Nova-C lunar lander, named Athena, successfully reached the Moon's surface on March 6, 2025.
