MetOp-SG-A1 is the first satellite of the MetOp Second Generation, launched on August 12, 2025, aboard an Ariane 6 rocket from French Guiana. It is developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) and EUMETSAT, focusing on weather monitoring and environmental data collection. The satellite successfully completed its Launch and Early Orbit Phase shortly after deployment.
