NASA programme to seed commercial successors to the ISS.

The Commercial LEO Destinations program, initiated by NASA in 2021, aims to promote the design and construction of Commercial Space Stations (CSS) to succeed the International Space Station (ISS). This public/private partnership encourages both established and new private-sector companies to create viable commercial platforms in low Earth orbit, ensuring continued research and economic activity in space. The program is crucial for preventing a gap in research capabilities as the ISS approaches retirement.
