PLATO
programPLATO is a space telescope program by ESA focused on studying exoplanets and their characteristics.
PLATO, or PLAnetary Transits and Oscillations of stars, is the third medium-class mission in the European Space Agency's Cosmic Vision program, set to launch in January 2027. It will utilize 26 cameras to measure the sizes of terrestrial exoplanets and discover exomoons and rings around them. The mission aims to enhance our understanding of planetary systems and identify targets for further investigation by the James Webb Space Telescope.
