Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) provides global communications and connectivity for military missions.

The Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) is a resilient network of military satellites developed by the Space Development Agency (SDA). It aims to deliver essential space-based capabilities to support terrestrial missions through a proliferated low Earth orbit (pLEO) constellation. The program was previously known as the National Defense Space Architecture and is designed to enhance the capabilities of the joint warfighter.

SDA’s Sandhoo: Tranche 1 Launches Resume in May or June

Space Development Agency's acting director Gurpartap Sandhoo announced that Tranche 1 Transport Layer launches will resume in May or June 2026 after a pause for technical fixes. The first orbital plane launched on September 10, 2025, delivering 21 York Space Systems vehicles for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. Future launches will integrate software corrections for improved performance.
