L3Harris Technologies plans a $1.27 billion expansion in Virginia to enhance solid rocket motor production for the Department of Defense. Announced on April 15, the Virginia Advanced Propulsion Facilities will double the site's manufacturing space. This follows a $1 billion investment from the DoD to boost L3Harris's missile program capacity, creating 350 jobs over five years.
